#1 Can I connect more than one parking lock with my smartphone?
You can connect multiple locks with a single smartphone. There is no specified limit to it.
#2 Will my parking lock be safe in the parking space that is accessible by anyone?
Yes, it will be completely safe. There are concrete anchors behind the key lock and under the metal hood that makes your parking lock strong and durable. Once these anchors are installed at your desired parking spot, you will require a key to access them. Also, in case you want to remove or move the lock – you can do that by using your key and appropriate tools.
#3 What type of batteries does the APARKLOCK use and how long do they typically last?
The APARKLOCK uses 4 x D sized batteries. These batteries are manufactured with an internal energy-saving system that aids in supplying the power for the unit for at least 6 months.
#4 Are there any precautions I should take with my APARKLOCK?
Our parking lock is very low-maintenance. You just need to take care of
the batteries.
Keep your parking lock dry and clean. You can do this by cleaning the components of the surface of the parking lock.
#5 How should I clean my parking lock?
Generally, the APARKLOCK does not
require any frequent cleaning. But whenever you clean it, use a non-abrasive cloth like a microfiber and dampen it with water or any mild cleaner.
Gently wipe this dampened cloth down the lock while making sure that no water
or any liquid enters the battery compartment.
#6 Why am I unable to lock my app-controlled parking lock?
If you are unable to lock your APARKLOCK, there might be some issue with your mobile app. Ensure that your phone is within the range of 30 metres. If you are not able to resolve the issue even after adjusting the connectivity range, contact our customer service for additional troubleshooting.
#7 What happens when someone tries to pull out my parking lock without access?
All of the expansion bolts used while installing this parking lock are covered by the parking lock outer-shell which is lockable with the supplied key.
Still, if someone who does not have an access tries to pull it out forcefully, it will raise an alarm to alert you or someone on the premises. Once the external force disappears, the parking lock will reset to the lock position automatically.
#8 How can I give access of my parking space to my guests?
If you have guests coming over and want to give them access to use your parking space – you can do that through your mobile app.
The app generates a unique e-key for your guests. Ask your guests to download the “Sciener” app on their phone and follow the prompts.
This will give them access to your parking spot for a pre-determined time. You can further control this through your app.
#9 How do I disassemble the APARKLOCK?
There is no such facility for disassembling the APARKLOCK. If for any reason, you want to disassemble it, all you need to do is, unlock the cover and remove the mounting bolts with a screwdriver. This will also give you access to the power switch and enable you to remove the APARKLOCK.
#10 Why am I unable to connect my parking lock with my phone’s app?
In this case, follow these steps to reconnect the app:
- Unlock the parking lock's cover using the key, remove it and place it aside.
- Use a screwdriver to unlock the Control Box's lid and find the Reset Button.
- Press and hold the Reset Button for 2 seconds and only release it when the LED light shows a red flash. Doing so will reset the APARKLOCK. You can now pair it again with your existing phone or even with a new phone if required.
- Once paired, turn on the Bluetooth function on your smartphone.
- Open the app and log in with your account. It will further direct you to a new lock screen where you should tap on the “Parking Lock”. The app will now start searching for the lock.
- Wait for the lock’s name to appear. As soon as it appears, tap “Ready to Pair”. The app and lock should begin pairing by now. Once they get connected successfully, you will be redirected to your app's Home Screen and you can control your parking lock with your phone.

If your “Sciener” app is constantly crashing for no apparent reason, you need to check for the following:
- Do you have the latest version of the app or are there any pending updates for the app?
- Is your smartphone running on the latest software update?
- Have you cleared your cache?
- Have you tried restarting
your smartphone?
#13 What type of tools do I need to install my APARKLOCK?
You will need to install the APARKLOCK on the ground with some basic tools.
You will need a hammer drill or any drill that would assist the type of material you are drilling through. Never use a standard drill here as it may cause severe damage to the tool or may even result in personal injury.
A chalk and a tape can also help you mark the ground for drilling spots and measure drilling depth respectively. These are optional but highly recommended to help you ease your installation process.
#14 How do I replace the batteries for my parking lock?
Lower the arm and use the key to unlock the cover of your parking lock. Remove the cover and place it aside. Disconnect the battery box from the rest of the lock. Further, open it and place the 4 x D batteries into it after properly checking the + and - symbols. Close the battery box, reconnect and reinstall it. Lastly, lock the cover.
